Charlotte Donald who appeared in BRAVO recently graduated with an MA in Musical Theatre from Guildford School of Acting in 2009. Prior to this she graduated from Leeds University with a 2.1. (Hons) degree in Law. Her roles whilst studying at Leeds include Queenie in The Wild Party, Carmen in Fame, Polly in Crazy For You, Iola Stover in Parade and Helene in Sweet Charity. At GSA her roles included KC Downing in My Favourite Year and Clara in Passion. Charlotte has also appeared on Hollyoaks and A Touch of Frost.

 

 

Drew Millar trained at The London School of Musical Theatre. His theatrical credits include both covering and playing the Pharaoh and covering the role of Joseph in the UK tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", also the Thursford Christmas Spectacular  for Thursford Enterprises, the role of Jack in Sondheim's "Into the Woods" at The Bridewell Theatre, and the Festival Steward in The Rise and Fall of Lenny Smallman at the Arts Theatre. TV and Radio appearances include Songs of Praise and The BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Other notable achievements include being a BBC Fame Academy Bursary Winner.


 
 

Arabella Rodrigo who appeared in BRAVO, SOVIET ZION, and TURKISH DELIGHT THE OPERA studied Jazz, Musical Theatre and Opera at the London College of Music. She was invited by Eddie Harvey to sing at the Ealing Jazz Festival in 2003, marking her professional debut. She then completed her training at the Royal Academy of Music, where she appeared in the choir for Jason Robert Brown and Friends (New Players Theatre 2005). Whilst at the Academy, her theatrical roles included Maria in Nine and Thaisa in Shakespeare's Pericles. Since graduating, her theatrical credits include Coco in the workshops of Desperately Seeking Susan (Criterion Theatre 2006), Mother Maria in Casanova (Tristan Bates Theatre 2007), Townswoman/cover Luisa in Zorro the Musical (UK tour 2008), The Girl in The Nightingale and the Rose (Arcola Theatre 2008), Claudia in Nine (Rose and Crown 2008), the lead singer in A Celebration of Sondheim (Rose and Crown 2008) and The Jason Robert Brown Songbook (Rose and Crown 2009). This year Arabella has been busy filming for A Drop of the Pure in Barcelona (Fascination Pictures 2009), in which she played the role of Natalia and then putting on her own production of December Songs in May (Rose and Crown 2009). She most recently played the lead role in both Gutter Press the Opera and the A STAGE KINDLY recital of Turkish Delight the Opera. She has also confirmed to create the role of Mirele in the forthcoming A STAGE KINDLY showcase of Giles Howe and Katy Lipson's new work, SOVIET ZION.

 

 
Adam Bayjou who starred in BRAVO, and TURKISH DELIGHT THE OPERA graduated from the London School of Musical Theatre in 2008 with Distinction and immediately was cast in the World Premiere of the new musical making his professional debut in Rue Magique at the King's Head Theatre, London. His credits whilst in training included creating the role of Florim Picoli in Charles Miller and Kevin Hammonds' new musical Big Top (Bridewell Theatre); Javert/Foreman in a workshop of Les Miserables (directed by Ken Caswell); Franklyn Shepard in a workshop of Merrily We Roll Along (directed by Roger Haines) and Ferdinand in The Tempest. He recently starred as The British Man in the A STAGE KINDLY recital of Turkish Delight the Opera.
 
 
 
 

 

Frank Loman starred in BRAVO and has worked as a singer, actor, writer and director for almost 20 years. After appearing at Cabaret Confidential in 2009 he premiered his new cabaret Somewhat Over The Rainbow at the Leicester Square Theatre. He is proud to present this show at the Above The Stag Theatre parallel to swinging towels at Bathhouse - The Musical. In 2001 Frank made his West End debut in Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre as Babet and understudy for Enjolras. Other credits include West Side Story (Baby John & Tony), Cabaret (Kit-Kat-Girl Mausi), La Cage Aux Folles (Jean-Michel), She Loves Me (Stephen Kodaly), Dance of the Vampires - in Vienna, directed by Roman Polanski (Herbert & Professor Abronsius), Titanic and Les Misérables (Bishop of Digne). In Berlin he played Christian the poet in Moulin Rouge - New York Style as well as being the German dialogue coach and resident director for this production. Frank made his London cabaret debut in 2000 with his own show Stories at the Jermyn Street Theatre. He is a member of the London Show Choir - a newly formed group of 32 professional musical theatre performers who specialise in singing classic musical theatre tunes as well as presenting new opera work. He will feature in "Bravo".



Julia Buckley who played the role of The British Woman in Turkish Delight the Opera and created the role of Zofia in the showcase of Giles Howe and Katy Lipson's new musical Soviet Zion studied at The Australian Institute of Music on Scholarship where she attained a Diploma and Bachelor of Music (Honours). She has performed many lead roles including Cunnegonde in Bernstein's Candide. Other professional credits include both concerts and recitals at The Sydney Opera House, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, NSW Art Gallery, and the Opera at Rivendell Series. Before moving to the UK Julia was showcased in many competitions, her most recently winning Big M Productions' Search for a Musical Theatre Star. Julia is still a member of the four-piece classical ensemble "Il Bel Mondo" performing at many private and corporate functions around the Sydney area. She has recorded vocal tracks for the stage spectacular Burn the Floor and for winner of the ARIA award Alex Lloyd.

Nancy Hill created the role of Bayla Levin in the howcase of the new musical Soviet Zion. Ciara Lavers who plays the drums in "Bravo" graduated from the ACM in 2005 with a BA in Contemporary Music - specialising in drums. She was also fortunate enough to study intensively at the LA Music Academy for three months in 2003. Since then Ciara has had the pleasure of working with Sir Tim Rice, Jose Gonzales, Spike Edney (Queen), Robyn, Jamelia, and Stephanie Dosen (Massive Attack).



Victor Sgarbi  played the role of The Turk in the recent A STAGE KINDLY production of Turkish Delight the Opera. His solo career began when still as a student of Classical Singing at the Universidade Tom Jobim in Sao Paulo, performing the baritone role in Carmina Burana under the direction of maestro Parcival Modolo accompanied by the Rio Claro orchestra. The following year joining the OSESP (www.osesp.art.br) performing as a soloist with this accoladed ensemble. Works included Mozart's Requiem, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Purcell's Dido and Eneas, Haydn's Missa In Tempori Belli and Monteverdi's Vespers. Subsequently specialising in Opera and Oratorio, taking several roles fully staged operas including: both Marcello and Schaunard from La Boheme, Conte Almaviva from The Marriage of Figaro, Belcore from L'Elisir d'Amor; Il Conte di Luna from Il Trovatore, Baritone role from the Stravinsky's Les Noces, Uncle Ernie from the The Who's Tommy amongst others. His Oratorio repertoire also includes Handel's Messiah andAlexander's Feast, Mozart's Mass in C minor, Verdi's Requiem, Mendelsohn's Elijah, several os Bach's works and symphonies including Beethoven's 9th. In 2006 he devised a solo concert programme comprising romantic arias from several operas, together with Shumann's Liederkreis (Opus 24). In 2005 he performed as a soloist with the English ensemble Collegium Musicum of London in Handel's Chandos Anthems, and as Hymen in Purcell's The Fairy Queen, also performing in Purcell's Ode to Santa Cecilia and several Bach's cantatas. Also in 2007, singing in a series of concerts of medieval and baroque music from Spain and the Latin-Americas with the Baroque Ensemble of Sao Paulo. In London, 2008, Victor performed Bach's St Johns Passion at St John Smith Square, and the Mass in B minorat St. James, in Piccadilly. In 2009, he joined the Insieme to perform at the Lauderdale House, and the Platinum Consort: a vocal ensemble specialized in early music from the 16th and 17th centuries. 
 
 

Nicola Henderson  who appeared in DEBUT and ENCORE graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Drama and Theatre arts from the University of Birmingham in 2005. She began singing from a young age, taking various grades, and also attended the British National Theatre School. She has performed in musicals such as Smokey Joe's Cafe, West Side Story, Jekyll and Hyde, Martin Guerre, Children of Eden, and Witches of Eastwick. In her most recent shows she has played Genevieve in The Bakers Wife by Stephen Schwarz at the Bob Hope Theatre, and as a soloist at the Tramshed Theatre in a Boubil and Schonberg Tribute Concert. Nicola is currently the lead singer of the function band, Firefly!  Her recent productions include The Voice Of Tomorrow at the Bloomsbury Theatre, A Night of Musicals at the Bob Hope, and The Last 5 Years by Jason Robert Brown, also at The Bob Hope in September. She performed in both "Debut" and "Encore!".

Scott Armstrong who starred in DEBUT and ENCORE trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (BA Hons Musical Theatre). Credits whilst training include Isidor Strauss in Titanic - A New Musical, Nanki Poo in The Hot Mikado, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, The Baron in Grand Hotel and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew. Since leaving Mountview, Scott has appeared in Chess in Concert (The Royal Albert Hall), Casanova the Musical (Greenwich Playhouse), The Twelve Tenors in Luxembourg and as the Beast in Beauty and the Beast (Weymouth Pavilion 08/09). He is currently touring in Room on the Broom for Tall Stories. He perfomred in both "Debut" and "Encore!".

 

Elise Bowd starred in DEBUT and ENCORE graduated from Arts Educational School in London with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre. Her theatre credits include: Sinbad the Sailor at York Theatre Royal, Peter Pan at the Malvern Theatre and understudy for Polly in Crazy for You at the Gordon Craig Theatre. Roles played while at college include: Aunt Em in The Wiz, Bird Girl in Seussical the Musical and Anytime Annie in 42nd Street. Elise created the role of Mrs Bailey in the workshop musical It's a Wonderful Life, and has recently performed in a workshop production of the new musical Raindogs written by Andrew MacBean and Oliver Tompsett. Elise perfomred in both "Debut" and "Encore!".

 

 
 
 
Teresa De Gennero "who performed in "Encore!" is an actor/vocalist who has worked professionally in a range of mediums and genres - from a TV soap opera, comedy skit series, and commercials, to feature films and voiceovers. Stage wise, she has juggled 'straight' theatre, live improvisational comedy, Musical Theatre and cabaret. She has worked with many of the most reputable theatrical, TV, and film companies in her native Australia. Teresa voyaged overseas to work as a production vocalist, cruising the South Pacific and East Mediterranean seas. She has performed in as an actress and in cabarets in Italy and in Denmark. Since arriving in London, Teresa has acted in both a feature film and a Short. She recently toured the lead role in a pantomime, and has supported 'The Barron Knights' with a cabaret set. Teresa has also been recording vocals for Stuart Wood Music.
 
 

Lewis Greenslade who performed in "Encore!" started performing at an early age, appearing as "Spider" in the 1995 cast of Oliver! (London Palladium) and "Laughing Boy" in Bugsy Malone  with the NYMT in 1997 (Queen's Theatre). He trained at Arnould School of Dance and Drama and Laine Theatre Arts, and his musical theatre credits since graduating include Mary Poppins Original London Cast, covering (and later returned to play) the role of "Neleus" (Prince Edward Theatre). Also FAME National Tour 2007, in which he covered and played "Nick Piazza" and "Schlomo Metzenbaum". High School Musical Original U.K Touring Cast, covered and played "Jack Scott". Other credits include "Kevin The Gerbil" Dick Whittington (Milton Keynes Theatre). "Tommy The Cat" Dick Whittington (Plymouth Theatre Royal). He has appeared as a dancer for artists such as Will Young and Anastasia in The Royal Variety Performance 2002 (London Carling Hammersmith Apollo). Worked on choreography with Bodé Lawal as a part of Sakoba African Dance Theatre (Royal Festival Hall). Performed in the opening gala for the International Festival of Musical Theatre 2002 (New Theatre Cardiff) plus numerous appearances on programmes such as Blue Peter, The National Lottery, Children In Need and GMTV to promote theatrical productions. Gillian Ford is originally from Scotland, but moved to London to train Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Whilst there, Gillian entered the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre Competition as the only non-professional performer. Out of over 300 contestants she was the only non professional performer to reach the final 12. Gillian made her West End debut in The Sound of Music where she understudied the role of Maria. Gillian then joined Pitlochry Festival Theatres'repertory company where she created the role of Peggy in Whisky Galore - The Musical and played: Jenny in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie; Lady Sybil in What Every Woman Knows and Sarah in the Scots language play A Servant 'o Twa Maisters.  Other theatre credits include: Sorel Bliss in Sir Peter Halls production of Hay Fever (UK Tour); Songs for a New World (Judi Dench Theatre); Sheila in Hair (Mountview Theatre); Carla in Nine (Motherwell Theatre); the title role in Cinderella (The Civic Theatre, Motherwell); Katrin Sveg in The Marriage-go-Round (The Lyceum, Crewe); Elizabeth in Taking Steps (Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth); Olwen in Dangerous Corner (Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth) and Princess Apricot in Jack and the Beanstalk (The Kings, Edinburgh) Television: Yo! Ashleigh Flemming who appeared in the A STAGE KINDLY showcase of "Don't Cry, Butterfly" at Drury lane began her training in classical singing and piano at the age of 10.  She then completed a Bachelor of Music (Voice) in 2005 at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) as well as achieving her Associate Diploma in Voice (AMUS). She has performed in numerous productions of musical theatre since her inauguration into the art form in 2001, when she played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (Laycock Street Theatre). In 2005 she received a scholarship to study at Singapore's Lasalle College of the Arts where she completed a Bachelor of Arts (1st class honours) in Musical Theatre. Following her showcase she spent a year as a featured vocalist (playing Belle) in the stage show 'The Golden Mickeys,' at Disneyland Hong Kong. Since moving to London in 2009 she has played the role of Det. Goldie Locks in Nursery Crimes: The Musical staged at the Kings Head Theatre (October/November 09). "Don't Cry, Butterfly" is her second foray into musical theatre in the UK and she is thrilled to be involved.
 

 
 

 
Holly Sands who was female swing for "Encore!" trained at Bristol Academy of Performing Arts after receiving a first class degree in dance and musical theatre at Cumbria Institute of the Arts. During her studies Holly appeared as the KoloKolo bird in Just So, Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music and as Yum-Yum in the Mikado, as well as performing with Bath's prestigious Vocal Works Gospel Choir. Since graduating, Holly has been singing on the club circuit and performed with the UK tour of Back to Broadway. More recently Holly appeared in the new musical Dracula at the White Bear and starred in The Roaring Twenties at Newmarket Racecourse.

 

Ruthie Stephens who performed in the first A STAGE KINDLY cabaret "Debut" trained at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Her theatre credits include the workshop production of The Diary - Anne Frank by Sean Jeffrey, a principal singer at the Monte Carlo Sport Club for Belinda King Productions and Casino Royale, a principal singer on the Queen Mary 2 for Cunard Line, and as Dandini in Cinderella at the Middleton Theatre for Mark Andrews Productions. Also, she has performed in the UK Tour of Nympheaum, and in The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy for Pele Productions at the Millenium in Cardiff, and played the role of Hero for Two Big Boots Theatre Company's Much Ado About Nothing (Dir: Daniel Tyler).  

 

Bevan Williams who was male understudy in "Encore!" is a classically trained singer/actor, hailing from Auckland, New Zealand where he studied music and theatre at Massey University, and trained privately in singing and acting.Theatrically he has been involved in improvised theatre, comedy, straight theatre and musicals. Credits include 'Marius' in Les Miserables 'Skye Masterson' in Guys and Dolls, 'Danny Zuko' in Grease and 'Adolfo Pirelli' in Sweeney Todd.
