I was so very pleased with A Stage Kindly's production of my musical, Ballets Russes. They assembled a fine cast who sang and acted superbly; the performances were stunning--I could not have been more proud of the way my show was brought to life on the Rosemary Branch Theatre stage. We have been working writing musicals in France for several years now. One of our plans has always been to export our work in English-speaking countries, notably in the UK, and particularly in London. That is why we naturally sent an application with some of our songs for the A STAGE KINDLY new-writing revue "Bravo" with great expectations, wishing them to be part of the show. How could we describe the joy we felt the first time we heard our songs performed in English at The Battersea Barge?? An evening we'll never forget. And still, it was almost nothing compared to the performance at the famous cabaret The Pizza On The Park, where both the venue and the selected songs provided us all kinds of emotions. We had expectations, and the team of A STAGE KINDLY offered us wonderful achievements! The songs were more than beautifully presented and executed, and the audio and video recordings made constitute a good material to communicate our works. There is no doubt that this collaboration with A STAGE KINDLY has helped us to initiate discussions and improve existing ones with agents and producers, notably in the UK and in Canada. Last but not least, more than a talented and hard-working team, we met understanding and friendly people: Katy and Giles (you two make a pair!), and all the performers: Arabella, Adam, Frank and Charlotte. Drinks, laughs, hot chocolates at Patisserie Valerie's, a concert at Dress Circle… what a week! It's no surprise that we are trying to develop further projects with them now, and hope others will arise. Well, do we have anything more to say? Maybe one thing… Even though keeping it secret might be a good idea, we have no other choice but to tell to you all: send them an application ASAP!!  Just got back from my trip to London to see the A Stage Kindly show. I know I'm a little biased as the repertoire included 3 songs from my shows - but it genuinely was a fab night! It includes 32 songs, 29 of which I had never heard before! And they were all good songs, some of them GREAT songs. And they provided genuine proof that there are lots of really good new musicals out there with original scores awaiting production. The entire cast were terrific - their performances alone are well worth the £10 for a ticket. Firstly, a very well presented and produced recording. You are a great team and
can only go forward from here! Nice accompaniment, too. Katy created a very nice full sound, and they must have all put in a lot of effort to get it all so good. Music is always a very subjective thing; people have varying preferences and despite that there seems to be something for everyone here. As writers, we are always looking for that elusive magic that 'makes' a good song. There are some nice numbers in 'Encore' and people will have their favourites - that's how it should be!
